Police arrest two Coast teens after 3 hour chase

MAROOCHYDORE police were hot on the heels of two Coast teens for two and a half hours before arresting them at Cotton Tree about 5am today.

A Queensland Police Services spokesman said officers received a call about 2.30am from a resident of a Maroochydore/Cotton Tree caravan park resident with reports of two juveniles trying to break into vehicles.

Police found the two teens hours later in possession of stolen property including two push bikes.

The spokesman said QPS was seeking anyone who had property stolen in the Maroochydore, Alexandra Headlands area over night to contact the Maroochydore police station at 5475 2444.

The spokesman said it is not yet known when the two offenders would face court as charges were yet to be laid.
