Investigations continue into armed robbery

UPDATE: Investigations are continuing into the armed robbery of a Bundaberg video store.

A hooded man entered Leading Edge Video on Maryborough St, about 8.45pm on Saturday and threatened two female staff members with a knife.

The man is described as being around 175cm tall, with a proportionate build and tanned olive skin.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded long-sleeved shirt and part of his face was concealed with a black piece of material.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or Bundaberg detectives on 4153 9066.

EARLIER: Detectives from Bundaberg CIB are investigating the armed robbery of a video store in Bundaberg overnight.

Preliminary inquiries indicate that around 8.45pm a man entered the store on Maryborough Street and demanded money from the two female attendants, while armed with a knife.

The women complied and the man left the store with a sum of cash.

The man is described as being around 175cm tall, with a proportionate build and tanned olive skin. He was last seen wearing a black hooded long-sleeved shirt and part of his face was concealed with a black piece of material.

Nobody received any physical injuries. Investigations are continuing.

Police urge anyone with any information that may be able to assist with their investigation or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area around this time to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Policelink on 131 444.
