Plans in the works
A NUMBER of exciting residential developments are also being planned for the Bundaberg region.
The Endeavour Foundation plan to provide residential dwellings in Svensson Heights, while a retirement village at Bundy North, units at Woodgate and public housing in south Bundaberg are also on the cards.
The Endeavour Foundation plan to reconfigure one lot into eight for dwellings at Osborn Street.
One of the eight lots carries an existing, single-storey 1987 sq m dwelling, with the average space of the seven planned residences to be 656 sq m each.
Thursday’s Bundaberg Regional Council meeting unanimously passed a 335 unit retirement village at County Cook, Parish Gooburrum.
The 35 hectare site will include a community facility room, restaurant and kitchen, bar and lounge, cinema, indoor pool, gymnasium and much more.
The staged development was put forward by applicant and owners, Curry and Wilson.
In the public notice stage are 69 units on the Esplanade at Woodgate.
The planned 10 separate structures will be up to four storeys in height, with units split in terms of style — 51 multiple-level apartments in the eastern precinct, and 18 two-storey townhouses in the western precinct.
To be carried out in stages, the development will feature two pools and other community facilities such as a community building, putting green, badminton court and a network of pedestrian pathways.
One apartment will be used for on-site management of the complex.
Lastly, the public notice for three, two-bedroom public housing apartments planned for Reddan Street went up last month.
The proposed units will each feature a living room, kitchen, bathroom, garage and patio, at 133 sq m each.
