Pisasale reviewing Australian Water Holdings donations

IPSWICH City Council says it is the victim of false claims made by former water executive Nick Di Girolamo to an anti-corruption inquiry in New South Wales.

The southern Queensland council is now reviewing board statements made by Mr Di Girolamo, a former Australian Water Holdings (AWH) executive, about his dealings in Ipswich, including with Mayor Paul Pisasale.

It says some of them, including claims the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the council, are false.

AWH had been trying to get work in the major Ripley Valley housing development, south-east of Ipswich.

The company did a $250,000 study for Ripley Valley developer Sekisui House, but the company says the water plan they put forward was not adopted.
