WHAT do you love about Toowoomba?

A community-contributed photo project run by Grand Central Shopping Centre is giving you the chance to share images of the city through your eyes.

A selection of these photos are currently on display on the photo wall on level one and two at the eastern end of the shopping centre, featuring stunning photos by a range of contributors including the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and the Toowoomba City Library.

This is where the new retail galleria linking to the former Gardentown Shopping Centre site is being built.

Centre staff are asking customers to join the movement on social media by sharing their own picture using the hash tag #ourtoowoomba and tagging @grandcentral shoppingcentre.

These photos will be reshared on the centre's Instagram and Facebook pages.

Grand Central manager Shaine Beveridge said the idea behind the display was to capture Toowoomba's "incredible local scenery as well as share some flashback photographs of major events that have helped shape Toowoomba."

"As a community we're all extremely proud of Toowoomba's beauty and rich history.

"This project has truly been created for the community and with the help of the community, with all photographs sourced from locals.

"The Toowoomba Historical Society generously gave us access to some wonderful photographs from Toowoomba's past, and Dan Proud and David Seeto's images truly capture the beauty of Toowoomba and our region."

The display will be in the centre for about four months.
