Photo finish expected at Classic

ALL eyes will be on the annual Maiden Classic at Thabeban park this weekend.

The feature race this Saturday in an action packed eight-race program features a $1000 purse and looks to be closely contested.

The punters elect should be last week’s fastest heat winner Uno Joel.

The son of Primo Uno has drawn the same winning box as last week - the coveted red rug and will favour the inside draw.

Ledaro Holly will be hard to beat from the third alley but with a number of sweepers in the field such as Claim the Crown, Fool’s Eyes and Ledaro Cleo it may prove to be a photo finish.

The fields this week are made up of a mixture of up and comers and the tried and tested.

Two maiden races open the pro and with none of the runners showing any real form it might be time to bring the dart board along to make your selections.

The public is urged to come along for the running of Maiden Classic. Gates will open at 11am with the first race at 1.30pm.
