Petespace has six-length win

LOCAL track favourite Petespace showed it still had the legs to stay in front on Saturday afternoon at Thabeban Park.

The Michael Menken-trained Petespace showed why it was at short odds to streak to victory by more than six lengths from Amazing Gayle and Diamond Tulsa in the maiden 460m Race one.

In the Bridgestone Tyres mixed final Oh My Papa, paying $4 for the win, was too good for King Size Lorian and Gotta Be Happy.

The David Gear-trained dog snuck home by a half-head, the narrow victory one of many on the Thabeban Park sand on the weekend.

Nuttella won Race four by a nose, while Miss Standout pipped Elite Looking by a head in Race two.

In the AMS Computers best eight, roughie Pakeminsin got the better of the star-studded field.

It also won by a head and paid $6.50, while Rome Fury ($12) surprised the crowd and bookies, running into third spot.

Flying Shak won Race seven from Seb’s Memory and Smart Emma; while Wee Webby won the eighth and final race of the day by more than four lengths.
