Peter Heuser to run in Division 10
Peter Heuser has announced he will run as a candidate for Division 10 in the upcoming Bundaberg Regional Council election.
" I am standing for council as I have a passionate drive to work within the Bundaberg Community, to make Bundaberg grow and to achieve results," Mr Heuser said.
"I have worked and lived in Bundaberg for the past 32 years and have made Bundaberg my home.
"My work history includes an extensive background in government administration, employment, recruitment and training. I worked with government programmes, purchasing and supply management and government legislation.
"Having spent years as an employment consultant I have worked with business, organisations, industry and training facilities and all sectors of the Bundaberg community.
"I have also worked as a taxi driver where I have had strong communication with all sectors of the Bundaberg community and have acquired an extensive knowledge of the Bundaberg area and surrounding districts.
"Through my work and because of my connection with all sectors of the community I have been motivated into representing Division 10 in which I live.
"Bundaberg is a beautiful city with countless opportunities for growth.
"I am strongly committed to encourage economic growth, development and business rejuvenation and expansion.
"Supporting and promoting the growth of business within our community will create increased employment and opportunities for our local Bundaberg community.
"We must get back to basics, traditional values and duty of care.
"We need to work on better co-ordination of roadworks, roundabouts, improved traffic flows, drainage and street signs. "We need to implement longer term town planning, taking into account future development, population and demographic growth.
"If elected to council, I am committed to connecting with the community with open communication equally in order to help constituents and make Bundaberg grow and prosper for the future.
"I have involvement with local community organisations and support groups.
"Through many years of working with government programmes, legislation, employment and taxi driving , I have acquired knowledge that would be very beneficial for Bundaberg residents to help achieve results.
" A strong local council should have members who have extensive knowledge of Bundaberg and the community, open communication, traditional values, back to basics and a strong driving force to bolster businesses, and industry to make Bundaberg a more productive, beautiful city for Bundaberg residents to live in and grow.
"I am dedicated to promote progress, but with a balance to foster a family friendly region.
"I am committed to re-invigorating the Bundaberg Regional Council, local government area, working to make Bundaberg a more prosperous region."
