ON SUNDAY the Bundaberg Pennants team played Hervey Bay at our home course.

Congratulations to all of the players.

The eight wins to one loss was a credit to the team.

A very large thank you to the volunteers who assisted Sean and his staff in rectifying the huge amount of damage from the super cell.

The annual general meeting for our club will be held on December 10.

A request has been made by the current committee for all members to consider nominating for positions on the committee, in particular the positions of secretary and treasurer.

Nomination forms are now on the noticeboard in the clubhouse.

Five to eight members are required in addition to the president, vice-president, captain, treasurer and secretary positions.

The Bundaberg Veterans AGM will be held on Tuesday, November 21 and is scheduled to start at 2pm.

The Ladies Holden Scramble will be played on November 26.

Registration is 11am with a noon shotgun start.

Nominations close on November 22.

There are teams coming from Gladstone, Calliope, Gayndah, Bargara and Norfolk Island so please nominate if your haven't already done so.

This Saturday will be the ladies monthly medal winners final.

For the men, Saturday will be a stroke event.

Both these events will be sponsored by Real Way Property Consultants.

Sunday will be the second round of the President's Cup.

After the first round at Bargara our club is in a 10-game deficit. Good luck to all playing.

Last Saturday saw both the men and women play a reverse four-ball stableford.

The structure of this event is that you have to take the worst score on each hole and the winners are the highest score of the worst score.

Kind of confusing isn't it? But it was fun.

The winners in the men's competition were Mark Higham and Trevor Mooney with 29 points and the women's competition was Lesley Loveday and Judy Gibbs with 22 points on a count-back.

The Sporters monthly medal winner was Les Killer with a nett 69.

On Melbourne Cup Day the Vets played a stableford and then enjoyed a lunch and watched the Cup.

The men's comp winner was Greg McCracken with 42 points and the ladies was Averil Chalmers.

Congratulations to Brock Wooldridge and Mark Higham who were selected in the Wide Bay team and who are currently competing in the District Championships in Rockhampton.
