Paramedics rush in after girl bitten by snake at beach

BREAKING: A girl has been bitten by a snake near a Sunshine Coast beach.

Reports from the scene indicated the female child was bitten on the foot, but the species of the snake was not clear.

Paramedics rushed to the scene at Coolum Beach, near the Surf Life Saving Club on the David Low Way, after receiving the call for help about 1.19pm.

The girl was taken to the Sunshine Coast University hospital in a stable condition.
