Palmer car museum manager named as latest UAP candidate

THE manager of Clive Palmer's car museum on the Sunshine Coast has been named as the latest United Australia Party candidate to contest the Federal Election.

Craig Gunnis was appointed the Palmer Motorama manager late last year to look after the mining magnate's car museum at Coolum.

Mr Gunnis announced this morning he had been endorsed to run for the seat of Ryan in Brisbane's west.

"I am standing for the United Australia Party because electricity prices are just too high for families and Australian businesses," he told media this morning.

"We have many things to do to get Australia back on track..."

A senior executive for Mr Palmer's company, Mineralogy, Clive Mensink will run for the seat of Dickson on Brisbane's north side.

"The United Australia Party is pleased to be endorsing such outstanding candidates with business experience to stand as the United Australia Party candidates in these four seats," he said.

Mr Palmer also announced this morning small business operator Veronica Ford and IT executive Thor Prohaska would run for federal seats of Brisbane and Petrie respectively.

Mr Palmer will run for the seat of Fairfax.
