Pageant finalist aspires to be role model
Gemma is an Ambassador for ICANIWILL, a local children's charity dedicated to making charity cool & fun to eradicate bullying and bridge social indifferences, especially for those with special needs. Late last month Gemma helped grant a wish for a special little girl at ICANIWILL's 3rd Birthday Event, for her to be a princess for the night (pictured in the attached).
The pageant has a strong focus on the girls' philanthropy, community work and fundraising for charity. Gemma has been raising funds for ICANWILL and the pageants' charity, the Rainbow Child Foundation.
Gemma has volunteered her time in Cambodia teaching English to disadvantaged children and says "It is an experience I will never forget".
"The idea of having a pageant system that backs me and my beliefs is really important to me and I feel that Face of the Globe is a wonderful system to be part of".
The pageant will see girls from across Australia compete in different sections of the competition including interview, fitness, photo shoots, onstage introductions, fashion wear and evening wear... and no swimwear round. Face of the Globe allows woman of all shapes, sizes and age to enter the competition, woman can also be married.
"Winning Face of the Globe Australia and being able to represent Australia on the international stage would be a dream come true".
The winner will represent Australia at the international final in both London and Paris early next year.
