Origin: 'It's going to be a war on the footy field'

QUEENSLAND assistant coach Anthony Seibold says the Maroons are prepared for a war in tonight's must-win clash against the Blues.

The Queensland team have completed their preparations for Origin II in Sydney, after going for a team walk through Parramatta Park this morning.

The team appeared to be in good spirits as they played a kicking game in the park, with plenty of Blues fans heckling from the sidelines.

But despite the smiles this morning, Seibold said the team is ready to switch their game faces on in their bid to square the series at ANZ Stadium.

"It's going to be a war on the footy field," Seibold said.

"We just want our guys to show a lot of energy and be nice and aggressive.

"Obviously there's pressure going into the game ... but everyone is confident and looking forward to tonight.

"We've prepared like it's going to be a real battle through the middle. It's no secret how they're going to play us.

"They're going to play us through the middle third of the field and they're going to bomb our back three."

Seibold said the Queensland team will be 1-17 as named by coach Kevin Walters.
