One turtle visited beach on Friday

ON FRIDAY night only one loggerhead turtles nested on the beach at Mon Repos, while another three came ashore but did not lay.

That brought to 220 the number of loggerheads seen on the beach this season.

One flatback also came ashore and nested.

There were 309 visitors to the beach on Friday night.

On Saturday night four loggerheads came ashore and nested, while another five came ashore but did not lay.

One flatback also came ashore and nested.

There were 308 visitors on Saturday night, for a total of 8435 so far this season.
