One-stop 4WD and marine mecca

THE all-new Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo was held at the Manly Boat Harbour recently.

The inaugural event had the Explore Australia Expo and the Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show offer consumers a one-stop experience to try and buy.

Combining unequalled boating facilities and water access, an extensive area for high speed off road motorsport and extreme 4x4 demonstrations and an open and accessible floor space ideal for hosting the Australian 4x4 and Marine Expo, the move to Manly Boat Harbour enhanced the opportunity for patrons to engage and interact with exhibitors.

The show included watercraft demonstrations, on the water displays, marine clinics and fishing stage presentations along with new 4x4 vehicle test rides, extreme 4x4 demonstrations, off-road workshops and technique tips, ATV hot laps and high speed off road racing displays.

Four-wheel drive clubs from around Queensland had the opportunity to set up and display what being in a club has to offer.

Being based in the one spot at the show allowed the public to find out which clubs were close to their areas and get a feel for what the individual clubs carried out in the way of activities.

A drive for the new format and location was the ability to showcase Australian companies and the quality products and ingenuity that Aussies are known for.

Buying quality products in the first instance saves money in the long run, because, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Nothing spoils the excitement of saving a dollar by buying an inferior product than when you're in the middle of nowhere and that "bargain buy" lets you down.

Planning for next year's event is already under way.
