Player movement, rumours ahead of season 2018

THE dominoes continue to fall.

A flurry of big-name transfers rounded out the end of a busy 2017 in rugby league, headlined by superstars Cooper Cronk, Mitchell Pearce, James Maloney, Matt Moylanand Jarryd Hayneall finding new clubs.

And the player movements have continued as the 2018 NRL season approaches, with Bryce Cartwright 's shock switch to the Titans following on from Moses Suli departing Wests Tigers to join the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile Cartwright's former Penrith teammate Tyrone Peachey could join him on the Gold Coast next year, while Rabbitohs young gun Angus Crichton has already committed to a big-money move to the Roosters in 2019.

And today, Storm young gun Curtis Scott extended his stay with the premiers until the end of 2021.

So who's next? With clubs still finalising their rosters for the upcoming season, all the while trying to re-sign and recruit players for 2019 and beyond, it's a battle to keep up with who could be on the move, who's staying put, and who is weighing up their future.

- Why the Warriors face a battle to retain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, with two Sydney NRL clubs joining New Zealand Rugby Union in the chase for his signature;

- The future of Penrith Panthers young gun Nathan Cleary, who has put contract talks on hold;

- The latest on Roosters skipper Boyd Cordner, who has previously been heavily linked with Newcastle;

- What the Cowboys have to do to lock down 2017 Dally M halfback of the year Michael Morgan
