NRL GRAND FINAL: Sharks lead at break

THE Cronulla Sharks are 8-0 up at half-time of the NRL grand final against the Melbourne Storm.

Ben Barba scored the first try in the 15th minute, taking advantage from a scrum-base play to stroll over untouched.

James Maloney opened the scoring after Melbourne's Marika Koroibete hit Chad Townsend with a swinging arm, with Maloney slotting the resulting penalty goal to make it 2-0.

At the break the Sharks have enjoyed 59% of possession and made just 158 tackles compared to the Storm's 222.
