NRL game will still be a cracker

HONESTLY, sometimes I wonder why people are so negative on social media.

Yesterday, the NewsMail had a busy day with Mal Forman stepping out of the mayoral race.

I know Cr Forman is a politician and like the media can expect to cop a bit of stick but some of the comments on our Facebook site were very rude.

No matter what you think of politicians, most of them go into the job to try and make a difference, it's especially like that in local government.

I haven't been in the region long but from what I have seen of Cr Forman is that his heart is in the right place.

He loves Bundaberg and wants the best for the region. The same goes for the NRL trial match scheduled this weekend.

Facebook comments got quite nasty when the Cowboys announced an under-strength squad.

The thing is, the BRL can't control which players come to Bundaberg and, thankfully, the Broncos have announced a star-studded line-up.

Whichever way you look at it, it's still going to be a top day of league action.
