Not much room at the inn this Christmas
THOSE still looking to secure a holiday accommodation booking for the Christmas New Year period will be hard pressed to find a bed, particularly if you're after an ocean view.
Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism general manager Katherine Mergard said most coastal properties were booked.
"A few are properties are showing small vacancies here and there," she said.
"Bundaberg CBD motels still have a few vacancies and most of them are saying they've got a lot of visiting friends and families that have pre-booked, but they've still got vacancies.
"People are coming in two waves, we've got people this week and then another wave will coming in on Boxing Day."
Ms Mergard said Mon Repos was proving very popular and there was plenty for visitors to see.
"Turtle tours are booked out from Boxing Day until New Year's Day, which is very exciting and we're really finding this year more people are pre-booking turtle tours online which is great evidence for us that our marketing is working," she said.
"Bundy Food Tours and the Segway Bundy Tours still have availability as well as Lady Musgrave Experience."
