NewsMail voters attract the attention of Smiggle

YOU voted and they listened Bundaberg, Smiggle is heading to Hinkler Central.

More than 70 keen Smigglers voted for the stationery chain in the NewsMail's online Facebook poll.

With nearly 300 people taking part in the June 7 poll, the question was, "Which stores you'd like to fill the empty the Hinkler Central spaces" - Smiggle rated in the top four.

And there's not long to wait with the company yesterday confirming to the NewsMail they would open in early September.

"We can't confirm a date as yet, but it will be early September," the Smiggle spokeswoman said.

While the location has not been announced it is believed the store will fill the former Game Traders space. There are 113 Smiggle stores in Australia, Bundaberg will make 114.

If you're yet to encounter Smiggle, the name means, "where a smile meets a giggle".

The stationery store features five key colour areas - purple, blue, pink, green, white, black and newly introduced colour orange.

Applications for jobs at the store can be made on http://www.seek.com.au.
