Newman to visit Bundaberg
LNP Leader Campbell Newman will be visiting Bundaberg today.
Mr Newman will be touring Pressure Fresh Australia and meeting with Bundaberg Regional Council.
He will also be walking through the Bundaberg CBD to meet Bundaberg residents at 11.30am.
Member for Burnett Rob Messenger has welcomed the visit but said there were important issues in the Bundaberg and Burnett regions which Mr Newman was yet to address.
Mr Messenger said he was urging Mr Newman to commit to doubling doctors and nurses in the area, reverse the regional “rip-off” of mining royalties, support economic zones to give discounts in rural and regional areas, and agree to a Royal Commission into Queensland political corruption.
