New team records first victory

HISTORY was made in Bundaberg Netball on Wednesday night as the Fusion Location recorded its first-ever victory in the division one competition.

The newest club in the competition defeated the Natives Magpies 41-34 to end a six-game losing streak.

In a team effort, Location shooters Deeanne Schiffke and Tahlia Walmsley scored 21 and 20 goals respectively from 65 combined shots.

Blazers Metro joined Fusion as a winner with a 32-goal win over The Waves Blue.

The 55-23 win could have been more with the side having 91 shots on goal during the contest.

It was Metro's third win of the season.

At the top, Brothers Hurricanes maintained their top three position with a 35-goal win over Alloway Purple.

The Hurricanes kept the rivals to just 36 shots on goal in a 59-24 victory.

In the final match to finish round seven, The Waves Gold defeated The Waves Silver 42-28 in the battle of club mates.

The Waves Gold shooter Madison Hard outscored her Silver rivals with 29 goals during the match. The side remains in second on the ladder.

Alloway Blue, who had the bye, still lead the competition.

The next round of the competition is next week.
