New GM for Lady Elliott Island Eco Resort

LADY Elliot Island Eco Resort has welcomed the newest member of their management team, Daniel Lukritz, who comes on board as the general manager of the business.

Mr Lukritz comes to Lady Elliot with many years experience in the industry and said he was excited about working with the award winning eco-resort on the southern Great Barrier Reef.

"I am very excited to be joining such a dynamic team that is leading the way in eco- tourism and I hope we continue to establish innovative eco initiatives into the future," he said.

Mr Lukritz has held general manager positions in a number of well-respected tourism destinations including the Crocodile Hotel in Kakadu, Outback Pioneer Hotel in Ayers Rock and Home Valley Station in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia.

He joins the very capable on-island team of Andreas Supper (island manager) and Shannon Hunter (assistant island manager) as they continue to deliver an exceptional visitor experience on the Great Barrier Reef.

"Lady Elliot Island has come so far already and I look forward to being part of a company that makes a difference," Mr Lukritz said.

Lady Elliot Island Eco Resort was established in 1984 and strives to provide guests with a genuine eco-tourism experience.

There are no telephones, television or radios and all rooms are fan-cooled.
