New deputy editor for NewsMail

THE NewsMail has welcomed Clint Heathorn as its new deputy editor.

The former editor of the South Burnett Times and Central and North Burnett Times, Clint joins the Bundy team after six years with the Kingaroy-based publications.

During this time, he played a lead role in growing the South Burnett Times’ circulation by almost 20%.

Clint said he was excited by the challenge of the new role.

“This is a really diverse region with plenty going on,” he said.

“I can’t wait to get into the issues that affect people in the area.

“Readers will have already noticed some of the positive changes in the NewsMail and I’m keen to assist the editor in making sure that continues.”

An absolute fishing fanatic, Clint is also looking forward to checking out all the hot angling action Bundy has to offer.

Joining Clint here are his wife, Julie, and three children.
