New Auswide bank branch for Sugarland
BUNDABERG-based Auswide Bank has announced a commitment to the future of its local branch operations with the opening of a new cutting-edge branch in Sugarland Shoppingtown.
Auswide managing director Martin Barrett said the regional bank was investing more than $2million across its Queensland network which includes investment in a new relocated branch.
"We're very excited about the bank's branch revitalisation program which is now starting in Bundaberg," Mr Barrett said.
"As part of this program, we are relocating our existing branch to new premises inside the shopping centre as we want to be closer to where the people are.
"Our new branch will offer local people the best in service, value and technological convenience.
"We've been progressively upgrading, modernising and relocating our branches - our Maryborough and
Gympie branches being the most recent examples - to ensure we can provide a long term commitment to face- to-face service and to where we believe the best opportunity is for our future."
Mr Barrett said even though fewer than 30% of the bank's customers now regularly visit a branch because they are banking online or at ATMs, Auswide Bank is committed to offering attractive, well placed branches with skilled, capable people
supported by the right products, service and technology.
"I challenge local people to support their only local bank - the bank that's supporting their community.
"Why not come into our new Sugarland branch, meet our local people and find out what we can offer you," Mr Barrett said.
