Nerima Gardens features in CollegeHumor.com comedy video
IPSWICH'S Nerima Gardens have featured in the video launching the Australian version of giant US comedy website CollegeHumor.com.
Uptown Monk, a video from the University of Queensland's Law Revue, has been chosen to launch the local site and was filmed at the Queens Park Japanese gardens.
The video is a parody of Mark Ronson's popular song Uptown Funk.
Video director Nicola Murray said the Nerima Gardens was one of many locations across the south-east used to film the video.
"When CollegeHumor first approached us I knew Uptown Monk was the go-to track," she said.
"Ronson's bombastic music video is the perfect setting for mixing visual gags into what is already a pretty silly joke.
"Plus Brisbane has a wealth of great locations which meant we could convincingly re-create some of those iconic shots."
Ms Murray is no stranger to filming in Ipswich, having used the city as a backdrop for previous short films.
CollegeHumor showcases videos and comedy pieces from university students - especially comedy revues.
Law revues have produced some of Australia's best known comedians including the Chaser, Magda Szubanski and Working Dog - who produced films The Castle and The Dish and TV shows Thank God You're Here, The Hollowmen and Utopia.
