NBN will help the tomatoes

THE benefits of high speed broadband are being eagerly awaited by local tomato company SP Exports.

Co-owner Camilla Philip spoke to Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy Stephen Conroy and Labor candidate for Hinkler Belinda McNeven about the National Broadband Network at her Childers farm yesterday.

“It will let us make the most out of our business and really open up opportunities around the globe which people in other countries have been able to take up because they have a faster internet speed,” she said.

Ms Philip said high speed internet would enable them to have a “more professional” online presence.

The company would also be able to show off its product and participate in live online markets with a greater success rate.
