It's a bush poetry muster not to miss

JUST when you thought it was safe to put away your Akubra and RM Williams gear, along comes the 20th Bundy Bush Poetry Muster, which this year is incorporating the Queensland Bush Poetry Performance Championship.

Mark your calendars for July 3-5 and head to The Waves Sports Club to hear some of the best bush poets in Australia competing for great prizes over the weekend, as well as the honour of being named the Male and Female Queensland Bush Poetry Performance Champions.

The concert on Saturday, July 4 will feature three of the best stand-up poets in Australia - Marco Gliori, from Warwick, Gary Fogarty, from Millmerran, and Bill Kearns, from Grafton, plus some musical entertainment.

Last week in the Guardian a poem from poet Marco Gliori was featured, and this week it's Bill Kearns' turn.

For further information about the muster phone Sandy on 4151 4631, Edna on 0428 574 651 or Jayson on 4155 0778.

For pre-purchase of concert tickets phone John and Sandy Lees on 4151 4631 or 0427 514 631 and leave a text message.
