Music news now at the fingertips

PUNTERS do not have to miss a beat, song or artist signing at this week’s Gympie Muster thanks to the festival’s Optus 3G Muster Mobi-site.

The mobile event guide allows users to access information on all 86 artists, playing times, venue maps and a personalised planner via their mobile phone.

“We’ve been there (as the sponsor of the Muster) for several years and punters have been saying ‘we’ve got to carry around this piece of paper and it’s difficult for us to plan’,” Optus Country general manager Anthony Shiner said.

“The team took that away and built a mobile application to see what’s on and where on your phone.”

The mobi-site is available to all festival goers and is compatible with most phones.

“What we’re noticing in regional Australia is that the iPhone is popular but a range of other phones are just as popular,” Mr Shiner said.

The mobi-site also features free Muster wallpapers and a day-by-day breakdown of the six-day event.

To access the mobi-site text ‘MUSTER’ to 193 939 or go to optusmuster.com.
