Mum furious after mother-in-law makes huge decision behind her back
A FURIOUS mother has gone online to vent her frustrations after her mother-in-law cut off her daughter's air without permission.
The stoush was revealed when the mum took to the online chat forum Mumsnet.com. to vent.
"My DC (dear child) spends every Thursday and every other weekend at my ex's house," the mum posted.
"Last Thursday school rang my ex to say was ill and to come collect her as it was his usual day.
"He then dropped (child) at his mum's until he'd finished work.
"Then the (child) spent the weekend with their dad and I collected them from school yesterday.
"On Thursday when mil was looking after dd, mil took it upon herself to cut all dd's hair off.
"And give her a fringe!!! It's gone from being long, blonde, beautiful waves to a shoulder length bob.
"I am beyond angry. I've had no explanation from mil or exh who both appear to think I am overreacting.
"What would you do?"
And while some users were quick to condemn the actions of the mother-in-law others stuck up for her.

'NavyandWhite' said: "I would go bats***. Absolutely crazy. Did she do a good job?!"
'wineusuallyhelps' commented: "YANBU [you are not being unreasonable]. It's a significant change. At her age, it should be a joint decision between parents. I'd be apoplectic with rage."
'PollytheDolly' raged: "Should have asked you first!!! Can't believe someone would do that without asking even if DD insisted."
But not everyone agreed.
'AnUtterIdiot' said: "Don't make a big deal of it", while 'Bluebell878275' commented: "I think if your ex had given the mil permission to trim her hair then that is fine as he is her parent too."
'VladmirsPoutine' wrote: "Why is the cutting of children's hair by unscrupulous MILs so popular on Mumsnet? I have genuinely never come across this epidemic anywhere else other than Mumsnet. Astonishing."
