Multiplex to host boxing titles
BOXING: The Bundaberg PCYC Multiplex will be turned into a boxing ring as some of the best boxers from around the state compete.
The Attila PCYC Boxing Academy will host a fight night tonight with the best state boxers competing in around 20 fights.
"It's a good chance to show how good we are,” coach and organiser Attila Kovacs said.
"We can show how good we can run a tournament at the Multiplex.”
The academy will have seven boxers in action including Dean Read on debut and four others who won gold at the recent novice titles.
Another is academy boxer Adam Becker who fights for the first time in five years.
"I've just been concentrating a lot of foot movement and head movement,” he said.
"It will be good to get back out there and fight again.”
