MP launches Bundaberg fresh produce website

A WEBSITE connecting Bundaberg farmers with consumers has been launched by MP Leanne Donaldson and Bundaberg and North Burnett Tourism general manager Katherine Mergard.

LocalFarmProduce.com.au is the fruit of 12 months of work by Bundaberg local Sarah Waldock and her family.

The celebration coincided with Winterfeast, and representatives in attendance included Tourism and Events Queensland, Bundaberg Regional Council, Startup Bundaberg, Bundaberg and District Chamber of Commerce, Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers, Catalyst Directions and MRH Lawyers, as well as local Bundaberg producers.

Ms Donaldson addressed the room on the region's strong consumer demand to find local produce.

"The room was buzzing and filled with the smell of local oriental Lilies," the Waldocks said.
