Mum-of-three fights for life after head-on crash with truck

A YOUNG mother of three is clinging to life after the sedan she was driving collided head-on with a truck, killing her two passengers, in the state's west last night.

Tegan Mills, 21, was heading south on Gipps Way, 30km south of Condobolin, when she crashed with the oncoming truck at 5.45pm.

The truck driver crawled to safety before his vehicle burst into flames.

The two passengers riding with Ms Mills, a couple from the town of Ungarie, died at the scene.

Ms Mills was flown to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition and remained there on Wednesday night.

Locals said the couple who died kept to themselves but were friendly and the incident had shaken the tiny community.

"It's so sad ... they were young, they had no children," one local said.
