Mother charged after distressed children found left in car
A MOTHER who left her two young children in a hot car while she went to a NSW bowling club, has been charged.
Police allege two girls, aged two and four, were crying and distressed when they were discovered in the back of a car parked outside a Lightning Ridge bowling club in January.
The doors were unlocked and the windows down but the temperature was between 30 and 35 degrees.
The children's 25-year-old mother was found inside the club.
Following investigations, she was this week issued with a notice to front court for two counts of leave child unattended.
