Morning ‘surf’ starts the day

EVERY morning armed with a hot cup of tea, Derek McCabe sits down to catch up on what's happening around the region.

"I sit down for my morning read of the news sites on my desktop computer," Mr McCabe said. "Surfing through the news sites I regularly visit, I catch up on the national, state and local news."

Mr McCabe said the NewsMail's website is always on his list.

"The NewsMail provides me with a good half-hour read as I troll through the headlines for news about the (Bundaberg) Regional Council, community groups and issues that affect the community," Mr McCabe said.

"I especially enjoy reading the comments of other readers.

"Often they provide additional information or a different perspective on topical issues."

Mr McCabe said the NewsMail's website isn't the only place he goes to get local news.

"(But) it is certainly the most comprehensive and timely," he said.
