More B-Double routes opened

THE North Burnett Regional Council has recently completed works on several key roads in the region.

Upgrades were undertaken at points identified as being ‘of concern’ on Mt Narayen Road, Monogorilby Road and Kerwee Road.

The repairs have been completed to a high standard and the council will now advise the Department of Transport and Main Roads that these roads are endorsed as B-Double permit routes, as previously requested by landholders in those areas.

Mayor Joy Jensen said the council was conscious of improving roads that need B-Double access.

“This is a great outcome for several landholders in these areas who needed access to their properties,” she said.

“I hope our community understands that while road works can take time and are quite costly, our council is trying to improve as many key, strategic roads as possible as quickly as we can.”
