Monto to meet to discuss bad roads
A PUBLIC meeting to discuss the state of Monto’s roads will be held in the Monto Town Hall from 7.30pm on Monday.
The Monto-Mt Perry Road, road safety and communication and black spots will be discussed.
The meeting will also push for roadworks on the Monto-Mt Perry Road to be brought forward.
The meeting comes after two men were killed in a two-car smash on the road last month.

THE Gayndah and Biggenden Blue Care auxiliaries and Coalstoun Lakes Hall Committee will combine to host a tombola tomorrow to raise money for the Better Health/Better Life program.
Doors at the Coalstoun Lakes Hall open at 1pm, and there will be a table of prizes and afternoon tea.
Blue Care director of nursing Melinda McIntyre said funds raised would be used towards a new program, Better Health/Better Life, soon to be introduced statewide, which aims to help clients to self-manage their health and keep well.
Ms McIntyre has been studying through Flinders University and will hold a workshop on the project for other health professionals in Gayndah next Tuesday.
“We are pleased that the North Burnett will be the first region in Queensland to roll out the program,” she said.
