Molotov cocktails thrown at Queensland school

AN appeal for information has been launched after Molotov cocktails were thrown at a school last night.

Staff rushed to Pimlico State High School about 11.30pm after an alarm was activated and found a small fire.

When police and firefighters attended, they found five external brick walls had been scalded with burn marks due to Molotov cocktails being thrown.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw anyone in the area or has CCTV or dashcam vision to contact Crime Stoppers.

Meanwhile firefighters were called to a fire at a vacant storage building in Bowen early this morning.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 5.30am and controlled the fire by 5.36am.

Police are investigating the fire.
