Mobile insurance office helps locals lodge claims

SUNCORP Insurance has set up a mobile claims and assessment office in Bundaberg to assist flood-affected customers.

Located in the car park of the Recovery Centre established at the Bundaberg TAFE (cnr Walker and Faldt Streets, Bundaberg), the Customer Response Team (CRT) is a fully self-sufficient mobile office which allows Suncorp Insurance, AAMI, Vero, Shannons and APIA customers to lodge claims.

Suncorp Insurance spokesperson, Melissa Cronin, said Suncorp Insurance had invested in the latest mobile technology to ensure customers get the best possible claims service.

"Having CRT offices and claims staff on the ground in affected areas allows customers to commence the claim process even if they are still without power or telecommunications and even if they can't access their property," Mrs Cronin said.

"We understand that these are very challenging times for many people. We are dedicated to having our mobile offices in Bundaberg so we can help locals start rebuilding their lives," she said.

The CRT will be operational each day from 7.30am, and Mrs Cronin encourages customers impacted by the floods to come and visit the team and lodge their claim as soon as possible.

"Letting us know now will mean we can start the claim process immediately to ensure the quickest possible path to recovery," Mrs Cronin said.

Customers also have the option of lodging their claim by contacting Suncorp Insurance on 13 25 24.
