Mo sistas sport faux moustaches

AS THE saying goes, behind every great man usually stands a great woman.

A group of female Coral Coast Pharmacy Bundaberg Plaza employees have taken up the Movember cause in support of their moustachioed male colleagues.

A lack of testosterone and a complete inability to grow facial hair have been no obstacle to Coral Coast Pharmacy's Mo Sistas Movember campaign.

Customers to the store yesterday could be forgiven for checking their eyes, as female staff members worked the floor sporting a variety of finely groomed moustaches.

Coral Coast Pharmacies retail manager Leah Hainsworth said the shocked faces of customers soon gave way to smiles and laughter.

"It was definitely a bit of a talking point," she said.

"The day has created a really fun atmosphere."

The Mo Sistas customised the faux moustaches to their own liking, with one taking inspiration from Gone With The Wind character Rhett Butler, and another designed in a nod to Charlie Chaplin.

They also sold cupcakes to customers, with all proceeds going to depression initiative Beyond Blue and the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
