Missing teen may have travelled interstate with older man
POLICE believe missing teenager Emmadilla Peacock-Lewis may now be interstate with a man in his 40s.
The 15-year-old has now been missing for more than a month.
She was last seen leaving a property on French St in East Toowoomba on September 28 at 4pm.
The man she may be with has been described as a friend.
Emmadilla and the man could have travelled to Tasmania because he has links to the state.
Head of the Missing Persons Unit, Senior Sergeant Damien Powell, said although police were concerned for Emmadilla's wellbeing, the case was not considered a homicide yet.
"With the passage of time, it becomes more and more concerning," he said.
"It's possible she may be in the Brisbane or Toowoomba area; it's possible she may have travelled interstate. They may still be in south-east Queensland."
Sen Sgt Powell said the man was believed to have been in Queensland for the past six months.
"We believe he's been in Queensland for approximately six months in the Toowoomba area," he said.
"He's not employed and we don't know of a mode of transport for him."
Police have not uncovered any evidence of activity from the girl, including on her social media accounts.
Her family have serious concerns for her safety as this is out of character.
Emmadilla is described as being Caucasian, 165cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and blue eyes, and was wearing grey pants, a dark-coloured skivvy and grey shoes.
