Message offers a prize fortune

BUNDABERG woman Sue Fraser knew right away a message on her mobile phone telling her she had won almost a million British pounds was a scam.

"I got a message on my mobile phone telling me I had won 900,000 British pounds in the Apple Inc Mobile Promo," she said yesterday.

"All I had to do to claim my prize was email my personal details to a website they gave me."

Mrs Fraser said she would not even have a look at the website she was given.

"I was afraid they would be able to trace it back to my computer," she said.

Mrs Fraser said she had no idea how the scammers got hold of her mobile phone number.

"It just came out of the blue," she said.

"I haven't had any scams before on my mobile phone."
