Melania Trump ‘flies back after dodging Donald’

MELANIA Trump has reportedly been staying at a posh hotel in Washington D.C. after allegations emerged that her husband, US president Donald Trump, had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels.

According to The Sun the First Lady, 47, has been left "humiliated" and spent "three to four days a week away from the White House".

She is also said to have flown to Mar-a-Lago in Florida before reportedly returning yesterday as her husband arrived home from Davos.

Stormy Daniels, whose real is name Stephanie Clifford, was allegedly paid $160,000 in hush money over her alleged 2006 affair with Donald Trump shortly after his marriage to Melania and the birth of their youngest child, Barron.

Bizarre reports have since claimed he made Daniels spank him with a copy of Forbes that featured his own face on the cover.

A White House source told DailyMail.com: "Melania spends three to four days a week away from the White House and has stayed at a hotel in DC multiple times in January, often for days at a time. She also travels up to New York.

"Talk among staffers is that the Stormy Daniels affair hit her hard, it's been upsetting and humiliating and her relationship with President Trump has become strained."

Mr Trump this week travelled to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, while Mrs Trump changed her plans to accompany him and instead decided to stay in the US.

Her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, confirmed to CNN that the First Lady's decision to miss the trip was based on "scheduling and logistic issues".

Ms Grisham has since tweeted: "The laundry list of salacious & flat-out false reporting about Mrs Trump by tabloid publications & TV shows has seeped into 'main stream media' reporting."

The alleged tryst first hit the headlines earlier this month when the Wall Street Journal reported that Mr Trump's lawyer arranged a payment to Daniels to prevent her from talking about it ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Both Daniels and Mr Trump have denied having an affair with the White House saying the "recycled reports" were "strongly denied prior to the election".

Daniels will make an appearance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Show on Tuesday - the same night of the President's State of the Union Speech.

Posting on Twitter, Jimmy Kimmel said: "I am pleased to announce that the very gifted @StormyDaniels will be on #Kimmel Tuesday 1/30 after the #StateOfTheUnion. I have MANY QUESTIONS!"

Instead of travelling to Davos with her husband, Mrs Trump visited the Holocaust museum in D.C. on Thursday morning and tweeted about her "powerful and moving" visit before flying to West Palm Beach later that afternoon.

But the Daily Mail reports that just 28 hours later, she flew back to the White House to meet her husband, who returned from Davos on Friday night.
