Mayors Christmas Appeal continues

DONATIONS are still trickling in for the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal.

The balance has reached $5085, but still has a long way to go before reaching the $20,000 goal before December 21.

A generous donation of $500 from the Lighthouse Hotel and another $500 from the Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce has greatly boosted the kitty.

Funds will be donated to the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul to help Bundaberg region residents in need during the Christmas season.

Both charities are expecting a greater drain on emergency relief compared to last year due to job losses and work hours being cut.

how to help

To donate, head to a Wide Bay Australia branch or Bundaberg Regional Council office or service centre or telephone 1300 883 699.
