Master artists showing pastels at Gin Gin

GIN Gin has scored a major coup with its latest exhibition.

Contemporary Master Artists of Australia, featuring art by 10 pastellists from the Pastel Society of Australia, has opened at the Gin Gin Regional Courthouse Gallery.

It's the first exhibition in a regional centre anywhere in Australia displaying works by members of the society.

There are more than 50 pieces from bush landscapes to streetscapes, animals, country homes, boats, seascapes, horses, portraits and Italian scenes.

Among them will be art by Graham Smith, who has completed more than 2700 works in a career spanning 50 years.

The exhibition, which runs until February 2, is open from 9am-4pm Tuesday-Friday and 9am-2pm on Saturdays.
