Maryborough Brothers eye its second win

MARYBOROUGH Brothers will be out to prove their history-making Bundaberg Rugby League win was not a once-off.

The club beat Isis Devils 40-32 to record its first A-grade win in 15 years, but face a new challenge when it hosts Easts Magpies at Eskdale Park tonight.

Coach Alex Dreger said his side's success was dependent on which Magpies showed up.

The Magpies are the only team beat front-runners Hervey Bay and Past Brothers, but were thumped by Wallaroos last week.

"Easts are hard to read,” Dreger said. "To get the win was great, particularly with all the work we did to get it.

"On the other side, you can't concede 32 points.”

Kick-off is at 6pm.
