Mark Vincent wins over Bundy crowd
TALENTED tenor Mark Vincent lived up to his reputation as one of Australia's best young singers as the headline act at the Mayoral Christmas Concert.
A packed audience at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre yesterday was captivated with the tremendous talent on display from all performers.
Featuring beatbox player DJ Reks, Elvis impersonator Barry Franklin, young rockers Official Tantrum and an array of local artists the audience was treated to Christmas carols with a difference.
Bundaberg Mayor Mal Forman said Vincent brought the house down.
"He performed an encore and everyone seemed to be over the moon with the concert," he said.
"The audience really enjoyed it and warmed to him."
Cr Forman said the 2009 Australia's Got Talent winner asked the crowd if he would be welcome back and the crowd responded with an emphatic yes.
"He is coming back again in May - on the Mother's Day weekend," he said.
The concert is one of the main fundraising initiatives of the Mayor's Christmas Appeal, which raises money for families in need during the festive season.
"I'm anticipating we will raise more than $10,000," Cr Forman said.
