Man suffers serious injury after machinery accident

A MAN who was trapped under a a piece of machinery on Sunday was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries. 

It's understood the man had been working on a property at Verrierdale, about 20km south-west of Noosa, when his right leg became trapped under a bobcat.

Paramedics and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services officers released the man after the accident happened about 11.30am. 

He was treated at the scene before being flown by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition.
