UPDATE:

A TRADESMAN had not long been on a Coast jobsite this morning when he became pinned between his ute and a wall.

Emergency services were called to Kiel Mountain Rd near the intersection of Fernhill Pl at Diddillibah at 7.38am.

A 61-year-old man had been pinned on his rib area against a house by a ute before managing to get free.

His son, also a tradesman, was with him at the time.

Maroochydore police officer Senior Constable Kelvyn Grant said they had parked their vehicle with the handbrake on .

"Both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle and went to examine a worksite for tomorrow and then have heard a noise and looked around to find the four-wheel-drive rolling down the hill towards them," Snr Const Grant said.

"Both the parties have tried to intervene to stop the vehicle abd unfortunately the driver of the vehicle has become pinned to the building by the vehicle.

"He has got in between the vehicle and the building."

Nearby gas bottles were disconnected.

Paramedics loaded the man onto a stretcher before he was taken to Nambour General Hospital with suspected rib injuries.

He was in a stable condition.

A MAN is being taken to hospital after a car rolled down a slope and hit him.

Paramedics were called to the scene on Fernhill Place in Diddillibah at 7.38am where it's believed a vehicle has rolled down a hill and pinned a man in his 60s against a wall.

A QAS media spokeswoman said the man had sustained a rib injury and was being transported to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
