Man fatally injured after being hit by car

A 37-year-old Rothwell man has been fatally injured after being hit by a car at Kippa Ring this morning. 

Police say around 1am a car travelling east along Anzac Avenue has proceeded through the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Nathan Road and hit the man as he walked on the road.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 33-year-old male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
